This is a tough one. Pelech is a fantastic defenseman and a local guy, but he plays LD. That being said, hes too good of a defenseman for the Leafs to say no here. I think the Isles say no just because their left side is already so weak

Leafs say no since this is a worse version of Hall for Larsson, Islanders would take the trade and make the moves necessary to fix their left side, whether that means trading Nylander or other players

Nylander's hair stylist says no, to moving to dark, grimy, corrupt and crime ridden Gotham City, I mean New York city.

Islanders 100000% say no because there's literally *nothing* in the cupboard behind Pelech.

If you want to look at it in a vacuum, I still think that the Isles say no. Nylander is a fine player but I think you can easily find a guy to do what he does (or at least, like 80% of what he does). I don't think there are more than a couple guys that you'd be able to pick up that match the defensive impact Pelech has on the game.

Just to get my thought on the trade.....Pelech term trumps two years of Nylander

Pelech. A friend who has coached in Etobicoke for decades....kids about 10 years old, had Pelech as player on his team. And he has coached future NHLers. He said Pelech was the greatest kid, greatest teammate he has seen. Even on a bad team, he never complained...always upbeat.

Got to imagine the Islanders due to term. Nylander has 2 seasons left on his deal, Pelech has forever.

Isles say no automatically. He’s just the better player. The fact leafs fans think Nylander’s value is so high is just hysterical.

Pelech is a top 20 defenseman on a bargain contract. He’s more valuable than Nylander

Islanders but still this trade proposal is silly for the fact Toronto has 4 LD

Rielly
Muzzin
Sandin
Giordano

Why would they try to trade for Pelech

Because he’s easily the best defensive d man out of them and arguably the best defenceman there (Reilly is somewhat debatable)

Your not getting it. Toronto had 4 very good LD. They dont need another one lul

So there is no need to trade for him even if he would be the best
