If u know CGY wouldn’t do it, then what’s the point?
I like Tkachuk too, but why don’t we focus on something that could be realistic

Fiala?
DeBrincat?

If there was a 2023 1st in there I would be interested. Don't know if the Flames would though

If Tkachuk would sign a long-term deal in Buffalo I would add the 2023 1st as well. He would be one of the final pieces in a deep core that are all 25 or under. Sabres could afford to not pick I. The first for 2 years with this group.

It would be somewhat realistic if the Sabres offer sheeted him 5 years at $10.5 mil Calgary may not be able to match and the sabres would only have to give up 2 firsts, a second and a third

That would be tempting for the Flames, because that 2023 would be unprotected and you just never know

If the Sabres offer sheeted him @$10.5 mil for 5 years, would he take it? would the flames match? Would it be worth it for the Sabres? Could the Sabres get back thier third round pick to do it?

Probably not is the answer to all your questions
And until offer sheets become a “norm” as opposed to the VERY minimal occurrence they are,
then this is only (SLIGHTLY) plausible in a video game

It’s just not happening
Let’s get real
That’s more fun (imo)

LA is not going to trade Roy. Grans for Johnson they would probably go for.

Also the Kings wouldn’t take that offer
