Description
Unlikely but I would love it.

Backstrom takes a full year off and probably retires after the season.

I do not think Hagelin will be able to return with the severity of his eye injury.

Snively, Leason, and AJF would play some. AJF probably as 4LW and Snively or Leason as 3RW until Tom returns (with Mantha and Osh moving up in his absence).

I think Vanecek is worth a late 2nd or early 3rd. Doesn't matter which team.

Eller is probably worth a 4th, doesn't matter which team.

I think it is unlikely they sign FF but I am all for it.

I think it is even more unlikely they trade for PLD (cant see the jets moving him), but I am a huge fan of his game and would love to have him in DC.

Is that a fair value for Kulak? Alexeyev may be ready, but they will not know until training camp.

That's an overpay for Dubois.

I think that is one first rounder too many for PLD -- either cut the 23 first or cut Iorio + 2nd. This would be a competitive offer for FF, and if backstrom is out I say go for it, but I'm not sure if he would sign in DC. Kulak probably makes .5-1 mil more which doesn't seem like a lot but might price him out of caps range, but he would be the perfect D signing IMO and I would put him with carlson instead of marty. Only part of this I don't like is going into the season relying on sammy and a returning holtby in net. I love braden and he deserves to have his number retired in DC, but something just tells me that a reunion would end poorly.

I doubt he's available but that's a pretty good offer for Dubois. I think Jets keep him, only 23 (24 next season) and still could become a 80 point player.

It would be dumb for the jets to trade him. But it would be cooler if they did
