Same can be said of nylander. 60 point guy that had one point per game campaign. Thompson has more upside.

why does he have more upside? because he peaked later? they are a year apart in age lol

Buddy, that's like asking me to explain why I wouldn't trade Slavin for Nylander. Watch a Canes game and your question answers itself.

Jarvis put up 40 points and had a roughly 50-point pace as a 19-year-old rookie. He started the season on the 4th line and has been the most dependable Canes forward for months. His two-way game for a teenager is incredible, already tasked with killing penalties and playing against the extra attacker, and he's done that with very little powerplay time. He's been absolutely unreal. The fact you didn't know any of this shows me that you watch no Canes games and aren't worth talking to about Canes players because you're going to base your opinions entirely off the stats.

I really dont understand the sensitivity here, i ask a question and you go off, the fact youre this mad is hilarious ahahaha, youre the same guy who said svech is better than marner so you have to forgive me for questioning, theres really no need to continue this with a pissy 9 year old lol

I see evidence that this was a break out year for Thompson.

Given his established track record, i see evidence that this was just an outlier for nylander.

Nylander has been average .9 points per game over the last 3 seasons

The best package you would get from the Canes would be Necas, Bear, and a 2023 first, which by the way, was proposed by a Canes fan and was very well accepted by both Canes and Leafs fans alike.

And yes, you clearly don’t watch Canes games and are only basing your values on stats and the like. I will agree with Caniac2000 on that point. Jarvis isn’t getting moved. Period. He was able to work his way, really from the WHL at the start of this year all the way up to being on the Canes top line, as a 19 year old rookie none the less. He was also by far the best rookie in March and beyond.

I’m sorry, but all your valuations of Nylander are so far tilted in the Leafs favor, it’s funny. And yes, I’m sure you would make those trades in a heartbeat since they favor the Leafs so much. Welcome to reality, where your players never have the value you want them to have.

Seth Jarvis has major issues. May never be a good player. Sort of like a Kris Versteeg.

The only ones that seem realistic are Philadelphia and St.Louis trades.
Every other team declines. Buffalo and Winnipeg especially.
Toronto needs more out of those NYI, VGK, and NSH trades.

Seth Jarvis has major issues. May never be a good player. Sort of like a Kris Versteeg.

So you don't watch Canes games. Okay.

It was at the beginning of the 2019-2020 season when Svechnikov was scoring Lacrosse goals and Marner was struggling. Also, Canes games had more fans this year than Toronto's so are all 6 Toronto fans this insensitive?

Could debate Kyrou vs Nylander on raw value but 2.8m AAV for another year is a massive advantage for the next season. Kyrou being 2 yrs younger doesn't hurt either. Don't see a reason for the Blues to consider it.

He's not a flashy player... neither is Aho and Aho's a 1st line center. How entertaining they are has nothing to do with how good a player is. He's going to be a 1st line RW
