Lets Trade Fiala

Created by: Wildwinswhen
Team: 2022-23 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: May 26, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I've grabbed some of my best trades from the past week and some others that I'm considering. Let's see if any of these work for you. Trades are in no particular order. Wild key targets are draft picks and young/prospect RH C. All trades assume Fiala signs for 8M x 5 years with your team. Ignore all other parts of this team.

To be fair, I likely need to add to some of these, but I'm most interested in your opinion of the best C prospects on your team

          Easy no from Ottawa. Creating a hole to fill a hole is not what the sens should be doing.

          Kings won't give up a 1st and Vilardi for Fiala. They'll probably do a 1st and Turcotte since he's further away from the NHL.

          Detroit's out. Take out Niederbach and it's fair. But we need a center not another small winger.

          I think Detroit is the market for that price, but ideally would want to swap Niederbach for one of our defensive prospects instead.

          No from Isles. The only trade for Fiala to the Isles is for Beau and the 2023 1st.

          Detroit''s current #2C is Suter and he really isn't a #2C he's a 3C. Niederbach is currently Detroit's best and closest center prospect. So I don't see Detroit trading a center prospect.

          The Wild have several defensive prospects, but I could see us still looking for a big RHD.

          I've heard several mixed opinions on Vilardi. From afar, I really really like him. But some people have jumped at this proposal and others have said no way. What's your stance on him?

          Here's my list:
          NDJ = Holtz
          NYI = Raty + 2nd
          LAK = 1st + Turcotte/Vilardi (either will work)
          SEA = Why? N/A
          DET = 8oa
          OTT = 7oa
          BUF is my darkhorse for Fiala, but I think that trade gets weird

          I agree with everything you've said and would be fine with all of it.

          Why Seattle? They have the 4th OA and could use an electric star now. Fiala would be the definite star of that team and it's a big market, so I could see him signing an extension

          SEA is taking the more conventional approach for an expansion team: be bad the first few seasons and built for the future. Then be competitive somewhere around the 3-7 year mark.

          He's a late bloomer because injuries set back his development. He's now healthy and looked really good at the end of the season. I think he will have a breakout season and be next season's Kaliyev.

          He is easily distracted on the ice, has a great shot but he hardly scores with it. Trotz didn't really use him, but he also didn't really earn more time. Perhaps the new coach will be good for him because at the current moment he seems destined to be a wasted talent, which stinks because he clearly has a lot. Definitely not a center though.
