Probably costs more to move Horn and not enough for Hague imo

Agreed. Florida is in a tough spot, and as a Ducks fan, I'd *hope* that GMPV would put a choke hold on Billy Zito...

The Hague one is interesting from an "upgrading the lineup" perspective, but IMO, if Vegas isn't keeping Hague, it's because they can't get him signed due to (you guessed it), cap space! Can't see them being able to take a contract back there in the first place, let alone attaching picks.

Very good point. Duclair is 3M so a trade would only come taking back cap if it was considerably less and Hague signs for more than that.

Minnesota probably isn't interested in trading the soul of their locker room for a magic bean.

That's fair, could you see the trade working out if there was a third team retaining 50% involved?

Hard to say...2 years left on Duclair, so a team would be eating around $3.5 mil. Typically a third team just does something like that for 1 year, so they don't waste a retention slot.

Correct, this is an easy No from MN.

I'm always amazed when a good. very good team gets eliminated from the playoff, the excuse for not succeeding is "size and grit". So the answer is getting two players from non playoff teams and a player whose team didn't make the playoffs.

Me too. I'd rather get Heinola and Samberg top-six roles and just move Stanley.

I think the jets need to move two of these three dmen (Dillon, Schmitt or Demelo) to make room for Samberg and Heinola.
I like Dillon and would like to keep him, but he has value to playoff teams and a decent cap hit; Schmitt hasnt been that great and makes too much cash so it might be hard to move him for any value; I like Demelo but dont understand the love he gets from jets fans. He's good but nothing special really.
