Bring him home coach hired

Created by: mulletmario7
Team: 2022-23 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: May 27, 2022
Published: May 27, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Explanation:

JVR: Flyers shed his salary and give up an NHL ready prospect who is blocked by depth in the flyers system. JVR had 24 goals this year so he's not a total dead weight and can help the kraken with scoring.

Provy: Just based off rumors and his exit interview I think it's time to move on from him. Using the lindholm trade as a reference (1st, 2 2nds and a prospect) I would argue provy is worth more due to his age and playability
Also he is under a reasonable contract for 3 more years. Flyers get top 10 protected 2023 1st round pick to either use in that draft or use as trade chip at TDL.

TK: It's not just Johnny Hockey going home. TK played for the 67's in junior and is very familiar with the area. He would fit right in with the young core there and could be quite the duo to Tkachuk. Frost sent over as well to mesh with that young core (Also from Ontario)

Chychrun: The 3rd player going home. His dad played for the flyers for some time and I'm pretty sure Chychrun was born in the area. Arizona gets the picks to help their rebuild and the flyers get their #1 Dman to replace Provy

Free agents: Bring Johnny home! He has expressed interest in playing for the flyer before in his career and he is close friends with Kevin Hayes who he played with in college. Flyers add Trocheck to the centre depth and gives them a RH centre which they don't have. I also looked at Copp, Stroke and Kadri but I think Trocheck is the best fit.

Coach: Personally I don't think Trots signs here. The only reasons he would is because of the money and the fact he would be staying in the metro. I think Torts is a solid option and could be the hard ass the flyers have needed for years. Montgomery is also interesting (and would fit the whole "bring them home" theme).

Draft: I doubt Nemec drops to the Flyers but if he does they take him. Otherwise I'd assume whoever is there of Savoie or Cooley

Heh. Can't imagine there's much chance the Blues give you all that for Provy, who hasn't played all that well for two seasons now.

That's a horrible deal for Ottawa. I wouldn't trade the 7th pick for Konecny, and trading Zub at all is an awful idea. The value here is hilariously tilted towards Philly, and Frost + Wylie do little to tilt it back towards Ottawa.

Seen a few sens fans post TK for 7OA… don’t know enough about Kemell to say if it’s fair or not but from what I’ve seen it seems pretty close

Like Konecny a lot, and think he'd be a great fit for Ottawa. If I'm Ottawa and I'm putting feelers out on the 7th overall pick I'm aiming higher. Konecny is very good, but he's not a star, and if I'm looking at the upcoming draft I see guys available there who will be as good or better who'll be like 7-8 years younger.

Won’t disagree there, definitely would expect something a bit better, I know they want a RHD but there are some good ones they can get for less than this so it would be hard for me to see the sens moving the puck either way

Horrible trade for Ottawa losing 2nd best defender and a 1st plus the PR nightmare for trading Zub

I wouldn't do either Zub OR 7OA for Konecny, let alone both. If Philly adds some value then I could see moving 7OA for Konecny, but definitely not Zub, and DEFINITELY not both of them
