Description

Feels like decent NHL depth at forward, while completely relying on big steps forward from the kids in order to find anyone elite. I think Schmidt can play a lot of minutes without a problem to help shore up the left side for a while and make a Hronek trade possible by shifting right when the prospects (Edvinsson, Johansson, Wallinder, etc.) start to take over. Let the Euro goalies battle it out in camp to see who stays and who returns to Europe (assuming neither wants to play in Grand Rapids).

Why would we want 5 more years at 5.9 mil AAV of Wild Bill Karlsson? 35 points in 67 games last season. Is Stevie working for Vegas?

Hey, adding 3 aging players who are at best middle-of-the-line-up type players and are at least 2 years removed from having any kind of meaningful impact is not a good way to build your team. In fact, it wastes a lot of the cap flexibility Detroit currently has while also throwing away draft picks
