Initial Creation Date: May 27, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
After a healthy and deep playoff run Keith decides to ride into the sunset on an "Injury". Go see your kid bro idc just please stop.

Didn't trade the 2023 2nd for Kulak JUST IN CASE Oilers actually make Cup Finals

I think whether we like it or not Smith is Hollands guy and he's only going to have more confidence in him after this run and Skinner is ready for a back up role so it most likely will be the duo for better or worse :/ Even though I'd love Campbell or Kuemper. I Think Campbell would be the perfect fit

that seems like a LOT of money for PK subban, i would maybe give him 1.5 mil on a 2 yr deal.

Also expecting holloway to be top line out of the gate is a little optimistic, i see him starting on the 3rd line with nuge and working up.

Also mcleod is far better at C than ryan. and i dont think that gets u debrusk

Bruh Keith is so cooked. for every good play he makes there's 3 terrible plays that follow usually resulting in goals against

I agree, I think you swap Jesse and Holloway for the beginning of the season, McLeod can play LW too so thats an easy switch. What makes me wonder is debrusk. He constantly goes from a 1st + to a 2nd round pick at best. seems no one can agree on his exact value

He has been absolutely fine in the playoffs. The trade worked out perfectly for us. I have no interest whatsoever in any analytics either. They are irrelevant

It's ok to not understand analytics but to disregard them is dumb. One most analytic teams today is the back to back cup champs. Also COL are heavy in them and are one of the best teams in the league. You can't expect the top guys to outscore the mistakes of others everytime. Keith is cooked, he's 38 it's understandable. Put him in bottom pair role at half the price tag without giving our 2nd or 3rd pick and maybe the trade works out. Kulak is better suited

How did anyone play before our new god analytics?

That's a terrible argument to make. People still played and there were still scouts but now it's easier to understand a player and not have a crap shoot in drafting or FA on whether the player will turn out or not. It's not surprising the teams heavy into analytics are the top teams in the league. There's more to the game than surface level points and eye tests. Not saying completely disregard them but look deeper than the surface level of a player. If you're too old to understand it then that's your loss just like other teams that refuse to change.
