Pretty crazy times in Saskatchewan right now. Two guys killed 10 people and injured more through stabbings. They still haven’t been located. I hope they find these guys soon. This is a big deal, the last time there was this much mass murdering in Canada was the Halifax shooting in 2020. Praying for the communities affected.

And the gun nuts down here will say See? It's not GUNS that are dangerous. So why do we need gun control laws?

I agree. This case is a prime example of why banning guns does not mean violence will go away. People will find other ways to use violence without guns.

Since he's about to join F1 next year it seems this meme is probably getting more common

I know that there's a large sect of people in the F1 fanbase on twitter that basically worship drivers like Lando and Charles a la K-Pop idols.

Imagine how insufferable sh*t's gonna be when they get their hands on poor Colton...

To be fair we haven't seen how bad that can go with an American driver. Herta will be the patent zero.

It's kinda shame how these young guys are almost forced to become PR puppets with zero room for error, because of the sometimes absolutely rabid fanbase.

First of all, I'm so hyped for Herta to make the jump, though I will already say that AT is either the best place he could have gone or the absolute worst place. It'll be interesting to see how he communicates on radio now that his Dad isn't his engineer/crew chief.

My first period ag mechanics class finally went out into the mechanics shop, and we got to hear the story of the group project was last year.

A group of boys made a go-kart (essentially just a bare-bones chassis with a lawnmower seat, a steering wheel made of chains, and lawnmower tires) that has a lot of problems with it.

The first thing i noticed is that the right rear tire was flatter than a tortilla, but what i found hilarious is that the boys borked up the steering so that the turning is reversed. If you want to turn right, you turn the wheel to the left, and vice versa.

We now call it Lightning McQueen.

The Hudson Hornet would be proud.

But also, I'm no car expert, but it seems like it would be quite difficult to reverse the turning. Did they tell you how they managed to blow it so badly?

No they didn't, they just told me their mistake and we had a few laughs.

Still funny as f*ck, though. It's even blue, so it works!
