Trades
1.
VAN
  1. 2022 4th round pick (BOS)
BOS
  1. Dickinson, Jason
Additional Details:
Dickinson still has a bit of trade value so a 4th should be close to what he's worth. I just chose Boston incase Bergeron retires, but he could be traded to a number of teams.
2.
VAN
  1. van Riemsdyk, James
Additional Details:
Philly creates a million in cap space will adding some size on the back end.
PHI
  1. Myers, Tyler
Additional Details:
Van takes on a top 6 forward who can play top powerplay minutes (Boost his value) and potentially trade him at the deadline for future assets. Van saves on an extra year of Myers term.
3.
VAN
  1. 2022 4th round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:
MIN gets some help with LTIR. (Trade can be with anyone who needs cap relief like Tampa Bay, Florida, Toronto, Vegas, Calgary, Dallas or Philadelphia)
MIN
  1. Ferland, Micheal
Additional Details:
Van gets to operate without the use of LTIR, which allows them to accrue cap space throughout the season and potentially make a deadline deal to take on more money for picks/prospects, or trade for a rental.
4.
VAN
  1. Schneider, Braden
  2. 2023 1st round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Add a conditional 2nd rounder (2023) if J.T. Miller signs an extension with NYR
NYR
  1. Miller, J.T. ($2,625,000 retained)
  2. 2023 4th round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Van gets their RHD to fill out their top 4 D pairings. NYR get J.T. for half his salary. I'd even be fine with Nils Lundkvist in lieu of Schneider.
5.
VAN
  1. Marino, John
  2. 2023 2nd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Pitt gets a young top 6 scoring winger with a new contract.
PIT
  1. Boeser, Brock
  2. 2022 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Van gets a top 4 RHD that also provides cost certainty.

No thanks from Boston. Dickinson doesn’t move the needle of playoff contention for Boston should Bergy retire. Better to utilize any cap space available for a legit 1C, or cut our losses and begin the rebuild.

Schneider is not available for trade. Nils is available and that deal could work.

Overpay from the Pens. Not to mention the Pens can't match his qualifying offer.

Schneider isn't available because he was drafted to be Trouba’s replacement in 2 years when he becomes a cap casualty. Nils is likely available but Vancouver probably wants more than just Nils and a 1 for Miller

LTIR does nothing for MN's cap.

Terrible return for Miller especially with retention. Also can't put a condition on someone re-signing.

Neither a Nils or Schneider deal could work if all your adding is a late 1st. A late first and a B+ prospect (Lundkvist) doesn't get you a versatile 1st line forward at 2.6mil. Only Drury would be dumb enough to trade a 1st liner for pennies on the dollar.

I didn't propose the trade, a Canuck fan did, so maybe consider that numb one. And Drury has a team in the 2nd round of the playoffs......what does the Canucks GM have? Tee time I suppose.

Doesn't mean it's a good trade because a Canucks fan proposed it. And doesn't mean trading Buch for nothing wasn't a boneheaded move.

Who said it was a good trade for the Canucks? I was talking from a Ranger standpoint. And your jealousy of Drury's success is awesome, good job. I bet he doesn't live in his moms basement like you.

As I mentioned within the trades additional details "he could be traded to a number of teams". He's viewed as a serviceable place holder down the lineup while you try and plug holes, not the solution to your problems.
