Leafs get out of the first round

Description
I am not a Leafs fan, so I have no special likes/dislikes of anyone on the team. My goal here is to put together a team that gets the Leafs out of the first round of the playoffs, by making them better defensively while still retaining an ability to score a lot of goals. Some of you may dislike the fact that I am trading away certain players (Nylander), but if Tavares won't waive his NMC, then moving Nylander is a necessity in order to build a more balanced team that can stay competitive as younger players get bigger contracts in future years.

Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Larsson, Adam
Additional Details:
Toronto picks up a shut down defenseman, helping improve its biggest weakness.
SEA
  1. Kerfoot, Alexander
Additional Details:
Seattle picks up a top 6 forward, adding another piece to its long-term core.
2.
TOR
  1. Binnington, Jordan
  2. Neighbours, Jake
  3. Robertsson, Simon [Reserve List]
  4. 2022 3rd round pick (STL)
  5. 2024 4th round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Toronto brings in its long-term goalie solution, picking up Binnington who has typically played very well in the playoffs, along with two forward prospects and two picks (since they have drafted well recently).
STL
  1. Nylander, William
Additional Details:
St. Louis keeps its contention window open by bringing in Nylander to replace Perron. By moving Binnington, they commit to Husso as their guy.
3.
TOR
  1. 2023 6th round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Toronto moves Holl's contract, since they are tight on cap space.
CBJ
  1. Holl, Justin
Additional Details:
Columbus picks up a 2nd/3rd pair defenseman for cheap.
4.
TOR
  1. Dellandrea, Ty
Additional Details:
The Leafs pick up a very talented young two-way C/RW from Ontario, who is ready for NHL ice time but stuck in a logjam at the C position in Dallas.
DAL
  1. Robertson, Nicholas
Additional Details:
Dallas picks up the brother of its most promising young forward in the hopes that he develops to the same level as his brother. Losing Dellandrea is tough, given the season he just had in the AHL but with 3 elite C prospects in the minors, the Stars can afford to make the trade.

DAL probably accepts.

The rest of them decline I think.

Kraken has already a lack of RHDs. Moving Larsson doesn't create anything but problems for them in this regard.

If Binnington can sustain his current form he's of more importance to Blues than Nylander is. STL arguably has two better RWs than Nylander so he's not of major importance to them. Also I can't see them part with Neighbours.

Holl is just bad. I think CBJ would rather use the roster slot to promote youth over taking an overpaid 7th D.

Trading Nylander for Binnington would be a mistake, goaltending is the most unpredictable position. Even if the Blues were willing to part with those prospects the Leafs don't have much use for them unless they are NHL ready, and if they are the Blues can probably use them too. This trade is much easier to complete if Toronto is offering picks and prospects (non-NHL ready, maybe a borderline player like Robertson)

Larsson stays, certainly not for Kerfoot, anyhow. Kraken have made 9 trades. They have taken only 2 roster players as a return in those trades, and 13 draft picks. Prospects and picks are what Francis will be targeting, building through the draft.
