Wood will likely be qualified. He may not get full extension as many expected before the injury, but he will certainly at least get qualified. Our GM has already spoken about how getting him back will help us next year (both on the ice and in the locker room). He is a guy that wore the "A" for us off the 4th line.

I suppose he if holds out for a long-term deal, he could become offersheet candidate. But still, NJD probably matches anything within reason.

NJD have tons of cap room. Even if they didn't, I could still see room for Wood making 3M.
