There have been some pretty bad proposals for Miller on this site but this is not one of them. Marino Kapanen and a first is a pretty good offer

Why in gods green earth would the pens pay to get Florida out of that terrible contract? Jarry is the better and cheaper goalie. Then to add a middle six winger, who even though might be overpaid is still decent and only has one year left.

Except Bob had the benefit of one of the highest scoring teams in recent history. Jarry’s stats are still better and for just over a 3rd of the cap hit.

Marino is cap is above his production and Kapanen has had an uneven career. In the end, one of the stated goals is to get younger and cheaper. This deal has less cap space and the team isn't that much younger

The only purpose of trading bobrovsky would be to shed cap... but this is increasing their cap instead

Or it gets rid of that horrible contract without having to buy him out and the two decent players that they’re receiving back come off the books after this season instead of 4 years from now
