Sabres decline. Backloaded contract would require more coming assets coming with.
    BUFF36 and homiedaclown liked this.

Not enough sandpaper in the lineup. Also, defense still looks average. Need a 3rd line right shot center as well.

I'd rather keep the 2nd and sign Määttä myself than pay for Myers.

JT MIller is not Gretzky in his prime.

Can’t see the Sabres having interest in Poolman,
and a 4th wouldn’t be enough to make them consider imo

That’s not much you’re giving up for Miller if he comes with an extension
It’s only too much if he’s a rental

And comparing that to the Gretzky trade is nonsense

Prices don’t seem to reflect extensions too much. Stone had one in place, didn’t effect it. Plenty of other examples as well. This is the teams top two prospects, their first line winger, and three picks, one of them being a first.

    Cut it in half.

I never compared it to the Gretzky trade.

I have never seen a fan base talk so highly of a player (Miller) yet be in such a hurry to trade him. It's so funny. If he is so good, SIGN HIM.
