Pens decline.

Marino - Boeser is a fair trade off. But Kapanen is better than Rathbone or Highmore. And Poulin is worth more than either of those guys. Nylander is just kinda a whatever bottom 6 prospect.

Then you ADD in Myers. I dont think you understand. You have to pay someone to take Myers even if you retain like you did...

I just look at it like this. Kap for one of Rathbone or Highmore is a trade off but the pens still lose value. Marino for Boeser is a trade off.

So that leaves basically Nylander + Poulin for Myers at 4mil and one of Rathbone/Highmore? Thats an AWFUL deal for the Penguins.

The core of the trade isn't bad but it just doesn't really work with everything else you added in.

Miller trade is flawed. Vancouver is taking on way too much cap while also retaining and there is no chance Toronto trades Liljegren

Doubtful. Offersheets are more or less a meme in the NHL

Leafs are not in a bad cap situation, they'll match.

Miller doesn't have anything close to this kind of value now that he's a rental.

The Toronto trade is flawed. Vancouver doesn't want to take on that much salary and Toronto isn't giving up 3 players under control for 1 year of Miller

hypothetical but realistic scenario - what If he gets 5 mill
leafs only got 9 mill in cap and needs sign a starting goalie also
