Hawks, Kings and Seattle say no. Comtois isn't great value at 2m so the Leafs shouldn't acquire him and give up on Robertson

I could see them wanting him to pair with one of their tough RHD prospects.

Take far more than Abruzzese and a 5th round pick to move Petr Mrazeks contract.

LA passes.

Seattle passes

All teams not named Toronto 100% pass.

Not sure that's enough to get his NTC waived

Oh yes it's the Toronto makes a trade and it's the automatic "pass"

Yeah when all the trades are bad for the other teams, Of course they'd pass. Not just Toronto anyteam.

He won a cup with the kings so I would imagine he would waive to go there. Kings are also on the up swing so he would have a good shot at advancing in the playoffs.

That's not a bad trade for LA or the ducks the Seattle one you may need to add a kerfoot or something like that. You're just being a troll

Both of us would be happy then as I’d prefer Comtois!

-Chicago needs someone to play goalie next year so I could see them biting on a decent prospect and a mid-round pick to take Mrazek off your hands. They're probably the only team that would actually be able to find a home for him, as opposed to begrudgingly taking him for whatever bounty you attach to him.

-Seattle can get a dozen better offers for a pending UFA LD2 that only makes $2.75M. I also feel like an expansion team like the Kraken is going to look for more picks/prospects for their guys than 29 year old pending UFAs.

-I don't the value is awful but I think Anaheim will give Comtois a little more leash before they give up on him. They're not planning on being Cup contenders this year so it makes sense to not bail on a 23 year old that put up good numbers last season.

-I can't see the Kings giving up assets to acquire Jake Muzzin when they could re-sign Alex Edler for half the cost and save their picks/players. When you add in the fact that they've hoarded enough picks and prospects to have surplus value at a lot of positions, I feel like they could easily target a better/younger/more cost effective LD than Muzzin.

Doubt LA needs or wants Muzzin back, And if Robertson was anything like his brother in Dallas there wouldn't even be discussions of dealing him.

Nick isn't his brother that's 100 percent clear by just looking at the size difference. Both players involved in the trade have hit walls within there organization it's a player swap. LA is a very young team especially on defense and muzzin fits the bill to help those young guys out on a reasonable contract

Yet i find it laughable when Leaf fans were telling me that Nick will be a 40-50 goal scorer. Yet hasn't shown that he's anywhere near capable of putting up those kind of numbers.

Yet again, the zombie Muzzin-to-Los-Angeles pipe dream. The Kings aren't interested in this effort to shed significant cap.

Absolutely no interest in installing Jake Muzzin 2.0 even if he would waive his NTC, plus we could re-sign Alex Edler for less than Jake's cap hit, and we would probably get the same results without having to expend assets to re-acquire Muzz. Will you Toronto guys please stop doing this? It's like the Montreal guys with their silly Jeff-Petry-to-Detroit trades.

For the record, here are the figures for Edler and Muzzin:
Edler, 41 games, 3 goals, 19 points, +18, 52.1 Corsi, 54.4 Fenwick, would not cost more than $3.5 million to sign.
Muzzin, 47 games, 3 goals, 14 points, -6 , 48.1 Corsi, 47.9 Fenwick, cap hit of $5.625 million.

I remember when they were saying that if the 2019 draft were held in 2021, Robertson would have been a first-rounder.

He could be a 30 goal guy if he can actually stay healthy. Dude has a rocket of a shot is fast and plays with an edge. That said he is going to have to adjust how he plays in the NHL because he is just to small to play the way he does. My prediction for him is a very solid 2 to 3 liner with some good offense

Heck i'd love to bring him home to Detroit, He has so much promise. He will start to put up good numbers here in the next few seasons.

I really don't think these trades are completely unreasonable. Maybe it takes a bit more to get some of these things done but simply saying its a "no" really supports your "I hate the Leafs" arguments. I could def. see the hawks taking on Mrazek's contract and the Comtois for Robertson swap is about two stalled players who could benefit from a change of scenery. Muzzin would fit in with LA like a glove, providing them with some veteran leadership for a team who are getting better. I could see improving that pick attached to the Soucy trade but both players have a year left and then will be UFAs.
