No, the Leafs have few prospects that are going to be NHL regulars. Leafs have few if any prospects that could be considered difference makers.

Leafs prospect pool is ridiculously overrated. Only 3 prospects of note. 1 of whom, the oldest ... Robertson, is having a really hard time adjusting to the NHL and looks like a worse pick every season. Of the other 2, only Knies really looks like he might be an impact player. Niemala looks strong in a weak league but there's every reason to think he will have trouble transitioning to smaller ice and will probably end up a 3rd pairing dman. Amirov sitting out because of a medical diagnosis and frankly is a long shot to play in the NHL at this point.

Dubas hasn't hit any homerun's with his player selection at the Draft.

He needs to stop thinking outside of the North American rankings by getting cute and try to find a diamond in the rough in US college and Euro only League players. The tiny dancers he picks are not Nhl worthy.

There is a reason why the Canadian Jr Leagues produces the highest amount of Nhl players.

I think Matthew Knies and Topi Niemela have the potential to be difference makers...........and I think it is much too soon to write off Nick Roberston yet,......and Dryden McKay could be a sleeper.

Probably one of the weakest and thinnest prospect pools in the NHL. Only Robertson and Amirov looked like NHLers and Amirov is probably done.

You can look at any team and find similar and more plentiful prospects.

When it comes to Toronto and its evaluation of NHL prospects, its the Robbie Earl/Jeremy Bracco syndrome

Knies and Topi look good, but every team has a couple or more of those high midlevel guys. TOR has one high end guy, Robertson, and hes struggling.

Steeves and McMann have had very promising AHL seasons. Robertson is looking very good. Niemela looks fantastic. Knies tore it up in the NCAA. Ovchinnikov looks extremely promising. Tverberg had a good NCAA season. McKay won the Hobey Baker. Petruzzelli has been nominated for it

Every team can blow up their prospects and overrate them. Leafs are no different.

And they've proven nothing at the NHL level.

Do not understand your point........All three of these prospects are considered in the Hockey World as high end prospects......That is all you can ask for.

Orr. Gretzky. Lemieux. When did Robertson become a high end prospect?

No Nhl'er yet in that group. So I'm right until proven wrong.

You should review his goal scoring stats from his last year in the OHL before you ask me this question.

You must be kidding......Read up about Matthew Knies and Niema before you freely dismiss them.
