That Montreal trade makes 0 sense. Trade one overpaid defenseman for 2 overpaid defenseman while trading down?

Probably skip the Pearson trade too. The guy isn’t a negative asset and was one of Van’s best 5v5 players last year. Giving up a pick to get rid of him makes no sense, especially since all you did with the extra cap space from trading him is aquire Savard and carry too many players on your roster
