Serious question, why not try and deal Liljegren to BUF (lots of extra picks) to recover some draft capital? Coaching staff chose Holl in favour of him and are in win now mode. Wouldn't a Liljegren deal make more sense since those picks could then be used elsewhere? (moving mrazek, adding a different d-man, scoring?).

I don't know if Washington can afford Muzzin or if Edmonton can afford Kerfoot, but this is by far the best Leafs ACGM I have seen on here.

honestly would rather just keep holl and buy out mrazek instead of trading away picks for essentially nothing in both cases
    not sign dominik
    keep mikko down
and try and get pierre for less than that the guys had 1 good half season this year hes not worth that much
also kase isnt gonna get more money this year than last year he was hurt for 30+ games again

lotta minor things but some things to remember
    holl doesnt have negitive value
and unless it doesnt cost anything more than a 5th round pick you buy out mrazek instead of trading him away,

1 million in cap space is all you save by trading him and 1 million in cap space is not worth a 2nd round pick

kinda missed this the first time through

but lord what is that boosh contract
4 years and more money for a guy who just isnt as good as holl like i get he hits but you can find other guys who hit
boosh cant play on the pk
and hes awful at making the first pass so he ends up getting hemmed in his own zone more often than not
2.5 million is probably at least 1 million too much

pierre wont get that many years and if he does it brings up the aav instead of lowering it so its worse for the team

I don't think the caps would be able to fit Muzzin in. Dowd is also an underpaid and overperforming 4C.

Caps decline this. Muzzin is unneeded in Washington, both with the current LD core of Fehervary and Orlov eating most of the minutes and Alexeyev and Johnasen vying for ice time, as well as the cap constrains Washington would be in. Also, Dowd is quite an underpaid player on a type of contract the Caps need, and even signed that extension earlier this year, so I can't see him going anywhere.
