So Stolarz and a 2nd for Holl, Mrazek and a 3rd?

ANA says no. Thats pretty weak. ANA should drop the pick, I think Mrazek's negative value is not offset enough by a 3rd, but Stolarz for Holl, Mrazek and a 3rd doesn;t look horrendous.

Toronto proceeds to stay the course and ice exactly the same team as 2021-22 and just hope they continue to develop/improve and every other team doesn;t? Just hoping to run into weaker teams in the playoffs, is that the gameplan?

Muzzin, Clifford, Giordano, Simmonds looked old this year, can;t wait to see them in 22-23. And you've signed Gustafsson?

Not saying it's a great plan, just trying to imagine what a world where they try to make as few changes as possible would look like. Gustafsson is more of a place holder, just looking to get a cheap 7th D in. I agree, it's not looking great, and my conclusion is that more moves than this are definitely necessary.

IMO Engvall, Sandin, and Liljegren are all worth more than Kase. Also, I wouldn’t risk signing Kase, especially for more than 1 year.

I would hesitate to give Campbell that contract. Also I don't think Kase gets more term/AAV than Sandin/Liljegren.

I agree with you on Campbell, this was just me trying to imagine how high they could go to keep him if they really wanted to. This level is at least workable, but at this point I would personally try to go for someone better/cheaper.

You're probably right on Kase, I really like him but probably overrate him. Unless you get rid of Muzzin and Kerfoot, which I didn't wanna do in this scenario, there's just not much left to give to Sandin and Liljegren though, so I'm imagining some kind of bridge contract, maybe shorter than this. Take a couple 100K off of Kase and give to them.

No team is paying a second-round draft pick for Justin Holl, let alone one in the top half of the round. (Anaheim won't be a playoff team in 2022-2023, either.)
