I can't see Cutter Gauthier going that high though he definitely is a candidate to go higher than he should due to size like Geekie and Slaf, I'd think Carolina goes Kemell there. I'm not sure if MTL would do that trade, let's say it's Petry for Damiani, Khudobin, 2024 2nd, 18 and 50 for 27 and 33 then you're left with Evans for Faksa, so maybe take out Evans and Faksa then the Habs would do it

Money is a bit of a problem there though. Only way we could take Petry's contract is to unload Faksa's.

No chance Leafs take Miroshnichenko! As morbid and sad as it sounds the Leafs can’t risk having two of their top prospects with cancer frown really hope someone takes a flyer on him though

Don't see Necas as 7th overall value for the Sens. They can do better with either a different trade or keeping it.

I don't really see an impact player on the CAR roster that they'd be willing to trade for OTT to give up 7OA-- might not be right for this deal. Though Necas to OTT could work otherwise.

Easy reject by habs
Khudobin + Faksa = 2nd + 3rd to dump

Petry + 27th for 18th + Gurianov

Evans, 33rd overall are not traded

In total:
Petry + 27th = Khudobin + Faksa + Gurianov + 18th Overall

Are the Canes really looking to trade Necas out? I thought he was well liked over there.

Don't see Montreal bitting on that, we're up to the contract limits with more prospects to sign so taking 3 contracts against 2 doesn't fit. Montreal has enough trading chip that if they want to move up from 26 to late teens they can find other ways to get it then trading bad contracts around. I still think an unretained Petry could land Dellandrea, future 2nd and Faksa considering the way he played after the Ducharme era ended (Close to a PPG even with his wife and kids away), anything less than this I wouldn't pull the trigger. Montreal would add a contract of any kind to even out the contract swap. Before he got back up to his good days it was rumoured a Philly trade for JVR and a very good prospect so there certainly seems to be value put on the player.

I also love the idea of both Kemell and Lambert still being available at #10. I like them a LOT more than those Russians I keep seeing people saying that we're going to draft.

I like it too, I find there's benefits for both teams.

That's a bit of a stretch from me but I'd say players drafted around 7-10 are interchangeable.

Lambert is probably dropping a bit.
