    I dont mind the idea of the Sabres taking on Monahan, I just dont think Juuso Välimäki is the right prospect to send as payment. The Sabres are well stocked on LHD.

    Outside of Johnson the Sabres don't have a ton of depth on D and haven't drafted many the past several years. Bryson has shown himself to be effective on both the left and right side so i could see a place for Valimaki.

    Even with Johnson he hasn't signed and would still need a year in the AHL before he's ready, plenty can change between this offseason and then.

    Is Monahan's hip healing, both hips done. Can he even skate like he did. Sabres are built to play with speed. And Valimaki does nothing for us.

    Sabres do it if thats an NHL RD, but Monohan isnt going to be getting more playing time, probably less. As it stands CGY needs to add more than a 4th
