I 100% take a deal that sends us your 2023 1st round pick.... the upside is just too high to turn down.

this would get you into the playoffs but not much further than the 1st or 2nd rounds.
plus with only having a 6k capacity stadium unless their tickets are double what they were last year and sold out the club can’t afford to pay anything over the cap floor.

This clearly isn't a lottery team.

Coyotes ownership is twice as rich as Hasso. They can afford it.

This is a really good roster and as we see this year, anything is possible

Fair, but does that mean they want to lose 20m this year?
and Hasso is worth 7.3 billion, alex meruelo is worth 2.

Losing money is good, that's why these guys purchase sports teams, can use it to pay no tax

The wealth of the Cuban-American businessman and investor, Alex Meruelo, is currently estimated at over $2 billion. The majority of his fortune has come from ...

and he is the majority owner, who is Barroway?

doesn't quite work this way but most teams owners are ok with taking a little bit of a loss because the net worth continues to grow!

You're checking one source and clearly a flawed one. ESPN states: Meruelo has much. An estimated net worth of around $14.5 billion, according to some reports. From the La Pizza Loca chain spread across Southern California to the Grand Sierra resort and casino in Reno to KWHY television station in L.A., Meruelo's portfolio is granite; he has money. Do your research before posting garbage

your right my first source was flawed but Forbes has Hasso at 15.8 billion and the 2nd richest NHL owner and Arizona's isn't in the top 15.

Only arguable players are Copp and Letang, I think I overpaid everyone else enough. Still have cap space to give those guys an extra 1M each. Room to sign Miller too next year with Ghost gone.

This team is not clearly better than Colorado, St Louis or Minnesota, which means they are fighting for their spot and any injury long term injury to DK, JT Miller, or Chychrun (never played 82) and Letang (played 82 once) could dismantle this build. So yeah, there is a chance they miss and send us a top pick. Expectation is looking in the 15-25 range in 2023, the upside is franchise changing talent (which is just too high to turn down).

Horrible take and any team that has a long term injury to their best players will likely falter. Only team in that division that is better are the Avs and is Colorado definitely better when they lost Kuemper and Nuke in this scenario?

Lightning won the cup with their top end players injured... The point is your top end guys are injury prone and your depth isnt good enough to carry this team. So, yeah injuries are unpredictable, but send us your pick next year with this team. I'm happy to have it.
