U overpaid Holtby. Probably underpaid for Soucy. And CBJ is a poor trade partner for Beau.

Jackets decline. That pick is likely a lottery pick which is more valuable for the rebuild than beau

It is listed as top 10 protected but still, Columbus has no really need for a middle 6 wing when we have so many already.

Holtby numbers this year showed he is a legit backup . I choose Columbus because they need wingers maybe not the best trade but it was difficult finding trade partners willing to give up a first

Jackets have way too many M6 wingers already. There’s already not enough playing time to go around and next year the jackets are adding kent Johnson and marchenko

Yeah I think it ends up being in the 10-15 range. Too much to give up for a position that is the strongest for the jackets

I wouldn’t call Beau a middle six winger, but his numbers look like **** cause of Trotz’s ability to take the fun out of hockey wink

Well he wouldn’t be starting over Laine, voracek, bjorkstrand. The jackets also have kent Johnson and chinakov who will need minutes to develop. Then you have texier, marchenko, and roslovic. They could also get a winger at 6 or 12 who will need a spot in a couple years. Jackets are an awful fit for a trade partner

Voracek isn’t more talented than him, but I agree with you. If ur trading Beau u r probably talking to Nashville, maybe LAK or Dallas.

Voracek was seventh in primary assists this season which the jackets need as they don’t have a 1C. He has great chemistry with Laine. Beau wouldn’t start over him

I don’t disagree, but I think beau may be better at this point despite his stat line. But I’m basing this off his playoff numbers not his regular season numbers. It’s highly speculative on my part and I could be wrong.

You're really gonna try to argue that a guy who has never crossed 40 points in a season is better than Jake Voracek? He would barely be a 3rd line winger on the Jackets last year.
