Rangers decline. Senko is paid too much for our salary cap situation. We need a 2C more than a RW meaning. We’d have to choose between Copp/ Strome/ Center or Senko. I’d rather sign Copp with that cap space and keep Schneider.

Hes a UFA at the end of the year, no way Schneider gets moved for anyone except a young center with multiple years of control

Yeah for some reason, one year rental Tarasenko isn't getting Braden Schneider.

Cap space cleared to replace him and/or extend ROR. Schneider would probably be our 2RD within the next couple years.

Um VT and ROR expire the same year so it doesn’t matter anyway, also sure we could use that cap to replace him but not for someone as good as VT is for under 7.5
Also we have Faulk and CP can’t see that top 2 RD changing anytime soon

Well Tarasenko being traded would remove the chance of extending him and we would actually have the space to extend ROR instead. And my point was that Schneider would be passing one or both of them at some point. I'm not actively trying to get rid of Tarasenko, but I would definitely actively listen to offers based on his contract expiring and his previous expressed interest in moving on from us.

Guys, I'm not wild about moving Tarasenko, but the Blues need cap space and Perron and Kyrou represent better bang-for-your-buck. And, I don't think that the Blues will be able to afford to extend 91. NYR has a serious scoring deficiency at RW and Tank says he'd like to play there. Also, I'm not terribly concerned about the return, just want decent assets that can be used to land a young, elite LHD. You're correct, Schneider will not usurp Faulk or Parayko (unless 55 gets traded), but the Coyotes would take him in a heartbeat.
