Certainly NJD isn't trading the second overall for two years of Hellebyuck. Gotta think Ottawa says no also to two of Schefiele. For less Ottawa can obtain a signed Fiala.

Detroit passes, Nate Schmidt doesn't get you 2 4th round picks.

Vincent Trocheck will get closer to $6,500,000 x 6 to 7 years to $7,000,000 x 6 to 7 years. Your offer will be easily out bid.

And Ottawa passes, they're too high on Shane Pinto.

New Jersey passes as well, There is no way you're getting the 2nd oa pick for 2 years of Connor Hellebuyck.

Wheeler isn't waiving for Arizona.

Scheifele isn't waiving for Ottawa and Ottawa isn't a Scheifele away from doing anything.

The Jersey, Detroit and Pittsburgh deals are horrible for the Jets.

Plus two real bad UFA signings.
