It’s as real as Chara coming from the top rope to “save” the Isles season baby

Hell of a run Oiler fans, congrats to COL.

McDavid ends the 2022 playoffs with 33 points in 16 games. His 153 points (53 G, 100 A) in 95 games this season (regular & postseason).

That is the most points in a season (regular & postseason) since 1995-96 (Lemieux, Jagr & Sakic)

Best player on 🌎

Sakic's trade deadline additions:

-Artturi Lehkonen scores an OT winner
-Josh Manson scores an OT winner
-Nico Sturm assists a Cale Makar OT winner
-Andrew Cogliano has two GWG

That’s a hell of TDL

If Nichuskin does leave via FA no Sakic should have little concern now with the Lehkonen acquisition

Note to self build time machine and tell Dubas to trade for Lehkonen

If it wasnt for the playoffs I got a feeling it would have been longer (if he did it in reg season)

But if Oilers are eliminated tonight then 1 game one could argue is justified

If Kadri suffered a head injury rather than just needing thumb surgery it probs would have been longer

dont think the type of injury matters though. i hate that the "type of game" factors into the suspension amount. if that stays true why wouldnt you just goon it up in game 1 or 2 of the series and knock some guys out. go hard and high or go hard and borderline dirty. kadri done for the year. kadri misses what could have been 10 games. kane misses 1.

It’s so unfortunate that two historic post seasons were cut short - not at all on the same “level” but it reminds of Coutures run a while back.

Couture was on a monster playoff pace and lost in the finals. Deserving of the Conn and it’s quite hard to watch a player give it all to lose. Which is why the playoffs are so special.

Connor and Leon coulda shared the Conn Smythe for how unreal each individual guy played and to miss out on seeing the totals they could have achieved is unfortunate.

But now we’re on Makar watch - the ability to slow down McDavid is something that’s truly special, and shouldn’t go unnoticed in this sweep.

I keep predicting the Rangers to lose ... I hate to be so pessimistic, but my prediction for game 4 is:
NYR 2-4 TBL

Game 4 is going along w/ next to no advantage either way into the 2nd.
Rangers give up two quick plays/turnover, back-to-back - yeah fish the biscuit from the basket mofos!

Don't give TBL any time/space ya idjits...

There will be plenty of suitors for Palat this off-season. But Tampa should keep Paul over him imo especially since he will be a bit cheaper

Tampa should look at moving Killorn and keeping both Paul and Palat if it's a possibility.
