i dont know about that one. jordan ' the water boy' binnington could give him a run for his money.

tampa could teach a masterclass at getting away with interference. they've used it really effectively to limit the avs speed. tampa turning things dirty could be the nail in their coffin. it's exactly what the blues did with kadri and it took them out of the game.

in terms of pure dirtiness? i expect to see at least 1 major boarding type play from kucherov if the av's get up early. i think they get dirty to try and knock out big name players... makar, mackinnon in order to try and get a comeback chance with their top guys gone.

with their pk? maybe in the last 5 minutes of the game but i think they know that will be their death sentence especially if the blots get called for a 5 minute major.

oh im not saying itll get called. kuch has already gotten away with multiple boardings this series. i dont trust the refs to call a major in an elimination game.

i feel like you cant complain about too many men when your team has more men on the ice than the team you are arguing about lmao. lightning legit have 7 players on the ice not including vasy.

edit: not directed at you just hit quote instead of reply.

Ehh the difference is an illegal changer didn't score the winning goal with the advantage gained for Tampa Bay.

both teams broke the same rule at the same time. refs were just letting them play.

I mean… The 2 extra Tampa and 1 extra Avs guys was literally pretty much on the bench, that’s not too many men

if your calling it by the book it is but its almost never called by the book. expecting them to call that in ot is crazy.

kadri was at mid ice before mackinnon was really even close on the change, he really did leave early. but at the same token so did the lightning 2 guys that jumped on. this has been so relaxed all year long that you just dont make that call in OT to give a pp.

Yea cause Kadri jumped on early and scored on an almost breakaway is why he’s pissed. Plus Tampa can have 10 guys on the ice they didn’t touch the puck

breakaway? kadri had to beat both defenseman alone, it was a one on two. no tampa can't have 10 players on the ice, even if they don't touch the puck, unless 5 of them are within 5 feet of the bench actively changing,

Nobody gained an advantage from the line changes. I would rather see that kind of change never be called, because calling that would slow the game down incredibly.

It's not like Kadri lept of the bench to receive the pass or anything. Keep the fast game fast.

As a Tampa fan, Cooper should chill out. There's no controversy here, one team won a hard fought game over another team.

But again with that one. It was Tampa's dpairing that was changing on a fast break up ice. There was no real advantage gained from the extra man. If anything islanders had more players on the back check than Tampa had pressing.

Can’t believe he had to carry Cale Makar all season and he’s STILL 1 win away from the cup, legendary

Whats stats are they collecting?

Cuz you can’t tell me Andrew “weakman” Cogliano was better offensively than Mackinnon, Landeskog, Rantanen, and Makar.

I watched the game with my two eyes and they’re in a whole other universe compared to Cogs.

This doesn’t isolate a players impact. Takes into account points, individual expected goals , and how many quality scoring chances a player was on the ice for and against.

Cogliano had the goal and his line was very good defensively.

Ah, that’s why.

Players like Mackinnon, Makar, etc… are expected to score a couple of goals while Cogs is playing expected to do f*ck all. When he scores it’s a shocker which probably skyrockets that stat and when the superstars don’t it lowers theirs.

I would not be surprised if the isles signed Johnson to be the 7D (assuming he doesn’t have better opportunities elsewhere)

ixG is just the number of expected goals by that one player. It has nothing to do with the pregame 'expectation' that certain players will score lots of points. Cogliano was credited with a tip right in front of the net which has a relatively high xG value associated with it

So you’re telling me Cogs was credited heavily for a goal, which is one of the weakest types of goals ever (tip ins and rebounds)?
