Provorov's value has taken a hit so we'd need to add more on Philly's end but I'd love the idea

why?

Top 4 dmen are way more valuable than top 6 forwards. I'd much rather keep Provorov and hope for the best with the youngins, or if there was a trade; then let it be bottom 6 guys and some draft picks

That it's a interesting trade to do for both teams I could see this as beneficial for both. What I love is that it's near perfect value on both side. There no big gap between each offer.

I have to disagree with you. Provy is still young a dmen sometime take longer to develop. Much has been thrust on him. His CAP is decent and its not like Laine has been awesome. Yes he had a good year but too many rumors about him being lazy and wanting $10 million on top of that.

Like you I do prefer Provorov but still there not so far from one other. Maybe Laine just get the right coach to push him. Exemple Ovechkin was not a defensive player and was lazy to make a back check after Barry Trotz coach him he upgrade is game style and he's more completed now.

I would much rather see Columbus keep Laine. Provorov would definitely be a player worth trading se other package for, but Laine has too much potential to give up on him just as he got comfortable.
