Formenton and Joseph had 32 and 30 point seasons, these are one year “show me” contracts. Rather than sign for 2 seasons at maybe $2MM each, this gives them a chance to show they’re worth much more than $2MM.

Pinto playing with Stützle would benefit him in his rookie season, Calder Memorial Trophy, quest. Could also put him with Norris and move Batherson down.

4th line and scratches can be interchanged at will.

Personally not a fan of the MTL trade. Sure del zotto can be buried but Byron brings a huge leadership factor to the team. Habs also have way too many dmen that could be nhl caliber next year (guhle norlinder harris barron)

That was for all the Habs fans who have been trading Byron to Ottawa on this site for that last few years, lol. Was also a part of my original plan to sign Giroux and De Haan, and trade for Byron. I just left that one, lol

Mark Kastelic, Parker Kelly, Angus Crookshank, Viktor Lodin, Ridly Greig, Egor Sokolov, Roby Jarventie will all fight to make the team and there's already 10 guys LOCKED IN (without counting RFAs Gambrell and Gaudette)
