Vegas wont be paying Roy. Period.
They were ditching Daddy and 2nd at the deadline - This deal is the same to that deal.

Boston need to give up more to get Miller. Carlo is good but nowhere near the same value as Miller. They’re going to need to add a 1st and maybe a 2nd

2nd at the deadline with a year and a half left. It’s now the off-season where there’s time to find a better deal. At most it costs a 2nd, and it would be a pick, not a guy that is contributing to the active roster

Na I don't think so, Carlo is 25, 2 years and bit older then QH and a perfect RHD match for him. RHD market is a pricey one, hence the positive value there is for Myers and previous deal with Hamonic.
Carlo's deal runs the same term with QH and OEL deals.

Boston will not trade Lohari or Lysell, so Beecher I think is next up.

Miller can be a 'Hockey' trade and a Garland deal can net the Canucks a high draft pick and prospect.

I admire your optimism but your cap situation is…grim.

Find an example of a team trading a 25 (or anywhere in the 23-27 range) top four d man with term for a rental. You won’t, but if you find something close, then start looking for one that also has a first and a second.

Well you’ve got Beecher in there too, so its not a hockey trade.

There are a lot of top 4 d in the league with term. Got to give to get. Carlo is good but couldn’t hold a pairing himself

Hockey trades are defined as involving players only, no draft picks - look it up

Instead you moved the Vezina winner for…literally nothing. How is this a W in your eyes

Hockey trade is generally defined as one NHL player for one NHL player - look it up.

I’m not going to go through all the trades that’s ever happened in the NHL dude lol. I’m just saying as a Canucks fan I’d be disappointed if Miller was traded to Boston and all we got was Carlo and Beecher. It could happen but I wouldn’t like it.

Oh i can save you the trouble of doing that. It doesn’t happen. I can even tell you why.

Teams trading for good players in their late 20’s or beyond with a year left on their deal are doing it because they are competitive or contenders. Teams that are in that situation aren’t removing a player out of their top four. Those teams are looking to add, not patch a hole in one place by creating a hole in another. Shuffling deck chairs on the titanic and all that jazz.

It’s not a W. It was a massive failure. I thought management should have gone with Deboer. The point I was making is it’s not going to cost what everyone says on this site

Carlo is the perfect example of Dmen the canucks need in a MIller trade that doesnt need 2-3 years of NHL seasoning to be relevant enough so the Canucks can contend.

POHO JR and GM PA have said multiple times players 22-25 are what they are looking for
