i don’t know if the isles do this but it’s an interesting idea to think about. just don’t know what exactly they do with dumba in this scenario, he’d have to play on the left (or someone else would) or more likely he’d be getting flipped and depends on that return.

You should want a better return than Brock Nelson for Fiala AND Dumba. One for one with a little something extra going to NYI i can see and understand.

to me, if the islanders feel as if Raty is NHL ready we do it. Or we think Wahlstrom can fill in at center for the time being

Isles take it and run. We'll figure out where Dumba fits later.

Do you think Raty is ready for the 3C or just give it to OW for 22-23? I really like him too...think he is going to be a good player.

Congratulations. You made this team take three steps back while gathering a total amount of zero (0) futures. Nelson wouldn't get Fiala alone. Greenway is more valuable to us than DeBrusk. This is bad

He played at center throughout his junior career and is no stranger to it. And depending on how the lines work out next year, he could be strapped to 3RW. Moving Nelson would allow him to get consistent top 6 minutes. He would be able it handle it.

And Raty is ready IMO. A PPG in LIIGA is enough to give me the confidence. But we could also just overplay Pageau for a year and let Raty be the 3C then move him up.

Wahlstrom hasn’t played center since at least before he went to BC. There’s no way he’s plying center on a regular basis in the NHL in the immediate future.

Fiala should get somewhere in the neighborhood of what Sam Reinhart got last offseason...1st round pick and prospect. The question is Dumba, does he get something similar like the Ristolainen trade... (1st & 2nd round picks and a roster player)? Doubtful but he should also get a good return like a 1st and prospect or roster player?

Minny needs cheap roster talent so i would ask for a roster player over a draft pick.
