Trades
1.
DET
  1. Perunovich, Scott [RFA Rights]
  2. Robertsson, Simon [Reserve List]
  3. 2022 1st round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Perunovich in the time he played this year was an absolute god in translation. The guy is superbly talented and would be an amazing fit with Seider. Buy him before he breaks out. Late 1st + solid prospect on top to increase the hoist going back
STL
  1. Bertuzzi, Tyler ($2,375,000 retained)
  2. Erne, Adam
Additional Details:
St Louis gets a forward at very cheap, yes it’s a rental but he pushes their forward core over the edge. Allows them also to move one of their other worse forwards for a d man. St Louis also gets a solid 4th liner in Erne
2.
DET
  1. Foligno, Nick
  2. Reilly, Mike
Additional Details:
Very solid d man in Rielly who is very likely to get moved. Would be a good fit either next to Hronek or even Seider if Perunovich isn’t ready for 20+ mins a night yet. Either way, good fit in the top 4
BOS
  1. Stephens, Mitchell [RFA Rights]
  2. 2022 7th round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
Move a depth forward in Stephens plus 7th, take on the cap of Foligno to get Rielly for very little assets of value. Detroit agrees to buyout Foligno, who signs a contract again with Boston for cheaper
3.
DET
  1. Johnsson, Andreas
  2. 2022 1st round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Pick 2 + Cap Dump for Pick 8, Pick 23/24, and a late 2nd. Value should be there more or less
NJD
  1. 2022 1st round pick (DET)
  2. 2022 1st round pick (STL)
  3. 2022 2nd round pick (WSH)
4.
DET
  1. Henrique, Adam
Additional Details:
Fill in for 2C while Cooley develops for 1 year in NCAA. Henrique is quietly a very solid player. He was on waivers I believe within the last year, the cost likely isn’t too high for him, especially if Anaheim wants to give more room to young guys. 6 mil is quite a bit for Henrique so his cost is rather low
ANA
  1. Walman, Jake [RFA Rights]
  2. 2022 4th round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
Youngish 3rd pair d man + an early 4th. Again, return is rather low based on Henrique’s contract
5.
DET
  1. Khudobin, Anton
  2. 2023 6th round pick (DAL)
  3. 2024 3rd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Let Khudobin start in the minors. Get a 3rd to take on 2 mil for 1 year of dead cap
DAL
  1. 2023 7th round pick (DET)

Blues pass, obviously. No need for any whack-a-doodle forwards, thanks.

Blues don't need another forward. They are better off using their assets for a top 4 LHD

Devils pass, Slav, Cooley, Jiricek and Nemec will all be gone by then and we don't need more assets. Johnsson isn't a cap dump either he holds some value. Your right, the value is probably there but the Devils don't need more prospects, they need high quality guys.

Is a .5 ppg, 3.4 mil one year contract really a cap dump? Once StL passes Detroit doesn't have anything they'd be willing to trade to get to #2.

Rico was waived a year and a half ago in a ridiculous "Bob Murray tries unsuccessfully to send a message!" moment. This year, he put up a 59pts/82 game pace, while being the best 2 way forward on the Ducks. Moving him for a 4th and Walman, who would likely result in waiving a young dman or hit waivers himself, seems like a big 'ol bogey.

There's really only two scenarios for Rico:
-Retain some and get a better return (Possibly a deadline move).
-Keep him because he's really the only competent veteran forward left on the team (Far more likely).

There's zero reason for the Ducks to take a lesser return just to shed his contract...they're already going to have to work to get to the floor this year.

Doesn’t seem to fit for NJD. If we were at the beginning of our rebuild, getting multiple picks may make sense, but at this point they would probably be more interested it trade down to get a player (ie, 2nd for 8th+player or 22nd+player).

The funny thing is waiving Henrique was one of the main things that led to his firing 😂 He has never been negative value, Bob Murray’s toxicity made people think he was

Henrique’s contract is undisputedly positive value to ANA, I don’t even consider moving him for less than a first.

Ducks need Rico, especially with Getz retiring

People like to think that every reasonably useful player who is somewhat overpaid qualifies as a cap dump.

It makes absolutely no sense for Anaheim to deal Henrique because both us needing money to hit the cap floor and we need him to help McTavish flourish

I think that interests the Bruins. They could get a standalone 3rd for Reilly, but to dump Foligno's cap hit for free (if he agrees to your proposal) I think it's a better solution than buying him out or paying a team a draft pick to take his contract.
