The Seth jones trade never came close to happening, It was already reported that all Canadian teams were on his no trade list. Only teams that were linked to Jones at the time were Chicago, Colorado and hometown Dallas that's it.

well according to SN's Mark Spector this trade was close to happening. Nashville opted for Johansen because his size tipped the scale. Keep in mind this is when he was being shopped before getting dealt to CBJ

Plenty of rumors from the PK trade of who opted out it. Some people said it was EDM that backed out and opted to moving Hall, other have said Habs backed out because they thought Dubois would of been available at 4th overall.

Yep. The widely reported rumor was Subban + 9ov for Hall + 4ov (assuming Dubois was available at 4) which never materialized obviously. Apparently MTL asked about Draisaitl earlier but Chiarelli turned it down. They probably then shifted to Hall and either MB just didn't think Hall was his type of guy or Chiarelli backed out plus Dubois eventually was picked at 3 so he kind of just backed out also.

If Columbus didn't take Dubois, that trade would have been made. 100% Even if Habs had to add a little extra to get it done for arguments sake. Imagine what the Habs would have looked like had it went through. SMH
