About 1 month until we say goodbye to FiFi

Created by: SimonSelaars3
Team: 2022-23 Minnesota Wild
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 3, 2022
Published: Jun. 3, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Where will he land?

There probably haven’t been any talks yet but if I had to guess on who will be the eventual front runners I would order it like this.

1. Sens
2. Canes
3. Devils
4. Isles
5. Kings
6. Ducks

I also wouldn’t underestimate the mystery team that could come out of nowhere and put up an offer that’s too good for Guerin to decline

Comment below what sweater you think Fiala will be repping come fall

Ottawa seems obvious with the Flyers as a darkhorse because their management is insane

As a Wild fan I know all too well about Chuck Fletcher (current GM of the Flyers) I’m honestly surprised the guy still has a job

Seeing the trades here, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the value Fiala brings in is considerably worse than what's been put up here. Guerin's recent claims about the guy don't really warrant a massive deal...it's sounding much like a Reinhart/Buchnevich situation.

As for where Fiala might land...I think Devils is the most likely option, but I wanna throw in Flames as a potential dark horse if Gaudreau ends up walking - maybe for something like Connor Zary and top10 protected 2023 1st or something like that.

Ducks here-I *hope* that's the max that we'd offer, which is probably not enough.

It's an interesting situation for sure. GMBG is kinda handcuffed by the cap, but Fiala is reallllly good. I'd love to have him on the Ducks, but also know the timeline doesn't really line up super well *unless* we go on a spree and add another impact player or two (specifically on the back end).

I don’t see the Devils trade being Holtz AND pick#37
If this was the TDL or if Guerin didn’t open his mouth, maybe, but Fiala was only good for 3 months, which makes it hard to justify that price

If they can’t use one those prospects to oackage with a cap dump, Fiala is definitely a cheaper option to replace Johnny Hockey with

Maybe Gritsyuk instead of Holtz. Don’t think Holtz is moving anywhere, especially considering the leverage Fiala himself holds and how that helps the Devils. 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭

I think you need to make the pick a 2nd in most of these. Carolina, Islanders, and Devils are the most obvious overpays. For the Isles one, you might need to make it less than a 2nd. Wahlstrom is so good and so young.

Lets go pure Chaos

10OA + Comtois for Fiala
22OA + 42OA + highest of our 2023 2nds + Thrun + Tracey for Chychurn
Steel + PIT 2nd for Bear

tears of joy

Insanity. I love it. Unless Cooley or Savoie slips to 10 OA, in which case, get ittttt.

*I forgot about my homie David Jiricek in that "If they're available at 10OA" part...And, the Ducks 2nd in 2023 is already gone, because I've obviously successfully stolen Nick Hague from Vegas via offer sheet...
