Lysell and Beecher need a full year in the AHL. At some point the bruins are going to have to give Studnicka a spot to loose. Steen had a great year too he should also get a chance.

Personally, I don't think it really matters. Beecher had a rough go in college then played excellent in his first few games with Prov I see him being the next 3rd line center when Coyle leaves, and sometimes it's a good thing to start players young look at Pasta for example. Lysell is extremely underrated, I don't think people realize how good of a player he truly is. I don't dislike steen but I see him as a third-line option people try to dump either him or Studnika on the fourth line and that isn't their game.

Hard to imagine the B's do this because of the contract. But if his contract were cheaper I'd love to have him back in some sort of mitigated role. I just adjusted the trade tell me what you think.

Pasta did start in the AHL his first year and had 28 points in 25 games if Lysell can do that then he deserves a spot. The AHL/ NHL is a much different game then WHL.

Sure, but his accomplishments in the WHL were unparalleled. Never has an 8th seed beaten the number 1 seed in the history of the WHL and Lysell was a major part of that having 21 points in 12 games. I think bringing him into the lineup becomes even more likely if you lose Bergeron to retirement.

And then pasta sucked when he came up to the NHL, and got sent back down.

I would demand a better return for taking on Lucic. at least a 2nd and a prospect, if not a 1st. Calgary is in a severe cap crunch and are primed to lose at least 1 if not 2 top players if they cant move some cap.
