If Bergeron decides to play one more year the B's still need to sign or find an option for center for the following seasons. Beecher and Studnicka won't be able to fill that role. Haula may come back on another short term deal but who knows.

If Tro was going to sign that, he'd be extended already. His end-of-season presser made it sound like he wants back in Raleigh anyway.

They *do* need another dman at some point, but it needs to be someone with solid upside. I'd rather either keep Comer, or package him for something that fits the timeline.

So you bring in a center option….but don’t play him at center?

That ducks trade makes the bruins worse, and i don’t think they should be in the business of doing that for a 2nd round pick if they’re bringing back bergeron.

If the goal is to get future assets while acquiring cap space, then make it about that, not about downgrading and picking up a second. Reilly can be moved easily. Plenty of options better than this.
