Build a new second line

Description
First, Malkin would have to accept a “3rd” line “. Could convince him it’s a 2a/2b. He needs to understand he’s not the player strong enough to hold a 2nd line center position.

I do believe that Forsberg gets more than 8.5, but there is a good chance that we see one more off-season of players getting less than we think because of a very minimal cap increase. I also believe that Trocheck gets less than 6. So there is give and take between those two. We’ll all be surprised. Marchment is a solid supporter on the wing for those two. 3 might be high for a player consistently hurt. Basically, there 17.5 million to divide among those 3 any way you see fit. But again, solid round numbers.

You run the top 3 lines all mix and match every game averaging 17 mins per game with the 4th line filling in the final 9 mins.

I don’t want to move Petterson, he’s a solid 3-6 style D, but unfortunately Dumo is probably more unmovable due to injury. The goal is to get a cheap player to replace him.

Goalie, just get the best one you can get for less than1 million.

Go back to winning by run and gun. The best defense is a good offense.

This team surely wouldn’t have trouble scoring goals, that’s for sure

Not sure why we are pushing Geno to 3C when Trocheck is actually better suited for 3C given his production and play style.

awful take on malkin imo.... and he is much much better then trocheck... if you give geno wingers like forsberg and marchment he is scoring close to 100 points next season. (little reminder he played at a point per game pace and with awful wingers like heinen erod Carter and mcginn...just a bunch of game with a cold rusty)

Kind of agree with the guys above, Malkin 2nd C . and i would leave Trocheck off because truth is you have to add at least 500K to Marchemnts deal and yo have to add 1 mil each to Malkin and Forsbergs deals anyways. that would leave 3.5 mil to fill any needs.
