Add Rasmussen or Veleno and Flames accept. Not remotely close to getting Chychrun

laugh Sure man, Too bad Monahan isn't worth either one. But i love your sarcasm

Detroit passes on Chychrun, Don't need him and Wallinder could be every bit as good as Chychrun down the road.

Idk what you’re on, Monahan isn’t a positive asset.

I know you are stuck on monohan having positive value and I really respect your view on the flames but really with the cap situation of the flames if they want to keep Gaudreau and sign Tkachuk long term, not to mention Mangiapane or Kylington. The flames will like have to pay a second to move Monohan. It would be very similar to what new York did with Mark Staal. I know he has the potential to bounce back in the right situation but stats are stats and the stats say he's a cap dump. For the flames sake I hope they get something for him but I just don't see it. Also his 10 team no trade list will make things even more difficult.

Neither of them has even remotely lived up to their potential so saying they are worth more than a top 6 center is pretty funny.

The odds that Wallinder is even remotely as good as Chychrun is pretty low. That's like saying you think Wallinder has the same potential as Seider

And I strongly disagree with this. If Calgary is paying to move cap it will be Lucic because he is a legitimately overpaid bottom 6 player. Monahan struggled with injuries the last 2 seasons but is still a top 6 player when healthy. It's very possible that Calgary moves Monahan instead of Lucic but it will not be for negative value. Marc Staal was a 3rd pair defenseman, not at all similar to Monahan

You don't give up young assets for a 2C that's basically been trending down and coming off a major hip injury. He's basically worth a 4th plus Calgary needs to add a 3rd to move him.

And on what planet is Chychrun anywhere near Seiders level both offensively and defensively that's laugh? Chychrun had one great year the rest he was no better than Filip Hronek scoring wise.

The reason Washington traded Vrana is because "he didn't fit in their system". Detroit shouldn't make the same mistake.
He's arguably the best pure goal scorer on the team. Larkin is close, Raymond as well.
Vrana is a top six forward.
I like Copp. I'm not saying they should sign Copp to replace him but if they did they should trade Vrana for a hefty return.

I like Monahan but he's a gamble.
Unfortunately for the Wings and other team Arizona wants a king's ransom for Chychrun and that ain't it.

Pretty good team on paper depending on Monahan's health & the team's injuries.
Edvinsson and Lindstrom can't be a pair it'd be the blind leading the blind. No offense to Ed he's just inexperienced.

You have to stop pretending the "trending down" and hip surgery aren't a cause and effect. His poor play the last 2 years are directly related to the 2 hip surgeries. If he is not fit to play next year he wont be traded and instead put on LTIR. If he is fit to play any acquiring team will have full access to his medical records.

Poor take, Chychrun was great in both 18/19 and 19/20 but you only look at points so I guess it doesn't matter. Hell even this year he was still great offensively but the team around him was garbage. The last 2 seasons he has ranked in the top 3 defense league wide for iSF/60, top 5 for iCF/60, and top 10 for ixGF/60. So offensively he is clearly better than Seider. Even this year Chychrun ranked in the top 50 for xGA/60.

Oh. Was Monahan playing as your 2C before his most recent injury? I thought he hadn't actually played as a competent 2C in several years now. I thought he was a reclamation project with a large cap hit that you can't afford. My mistake.
