The kid is 20, everyone develops differently and he isn't as one dimensional player. I do agree that other players are looking better than him from the same draft but to say he's worth that little is just silly.

Gms don't trade major assets for players who have put up 3rd line points, potential is irrelevant , hell Yakupov who had similar numbers to Laf only got the Oilers a unknow prospect and a conditional 3rd.....Laf is not worth what NYR fans wish he was that is reality, Gms are not going to trade prime picks and prospects for a guy who only put up 3rd line player production in his 2 years in the NHL and bet on potential.
