I don't see the point in trading both Garland and Miller in this draft especially with it being a weaker year

It's not weaker, it's just being compared to a phenomenal draft next year. That year you probably don't get many picks traded.

Also Ottawa declines.

Reasoning is because while Garland is pretty good Ottawa has a potentially better player in Greig that is not that far away so Ottawa doesn't need to go pay what could be a core piece of the future for a player that is not needed.

Woo is not needed cause we already have Thompson, JBD, and Guennette so he will struggle to find playing time as it is.

And the third does not make up for the lack of value in the other two pieces.

laugh On what planet does Garland plus Woo plus a 3rd round pick get you the 7th overall pick? I wouldn't move Detroit's 8th for that let alone Ottawa's 7th overall pick.

I’m not sure you get Boqvist and 6th OA. I’d be willing to give 12tHh OA.

It would be very upsetting if the sens traded a chance to draft Lekkerimaki or Kemell for Garland. Hard pass for me

It would be less painful to just forfeit the pick

Hard to be more "diplomatic" than that!

this year has a top 5 after Wright, but next year has a big 3. It seems this year's draft is deeper for quality (Like 2017,18), but next year's will have much more prominent players out of those big 3. A lot more euro players this year so the Canadian media doesn't care about them (looking at you 2020 draft)

Yep, this draft is still very good and I have seen a lot of people saying that the draft is one of the weaker ones .
