Yeah no thanks, Connor McDavid would be gutting the farm.

FYI Tyler Bertuzzi can't play in Canada so he's a no go. Only makes sense to deal Bertuzzi to either the Metro or Central as they face Canadian teams the least.

Lucas Raymond is untouchable even for McDavid. And McDavid would start with Seider and that's a no go from us.

I absolutely love Lucas Raymond....but come on lol, untouchable for McDavid???

Raymond had a nice rookie season, but he had a couple cold stretches during the season, and while 57 points for a kid is great, 57 points is still only 57 points.....

I'm 100% serious, No rebuilding team guts the farm even if it is for a generational talent like McDavid. If we were closer to competing for a cup i'd 100% make the deal. But we are years and years away from competing and McDavid alone isn't going to make us a cup contender if we've to surrender young talent that can help us now instead of later.

But what about Raymond for McDavid 1 for 1?

You honestly think McDavid makes us a strong playoff team by himself, You need great players to add to McDavid. I'd rather McDavid center Raymond where he can be a 80-90 point winger than deal him and have no back up plan. You really want to give up 20 years of Raymond for perhaps 4 years of McDavid. This team is still a long ways away from the cup with or without McDavid.

Let's be greedy and make it Raymond for both McDavid and Draisaitl. Pretty sure Ken will agree to that. The Yzerman fleece special.

Let's be realistic here, McDavid would probably cost all 3 of Larkin, Seider and Raymond just for starters. And i'm not sure how this would benefit us in the long term.

I would do that McDavid trade six days a week and twice on Sundays as a Detroit fan, but no way Edmonton bites.

Bold move significantly downgrading our defense after how poorly they performed last year. Brining Leddy back after a middling to poor performance to play on the top pairing, even bolder.

Probably another UFA or cap dump top 6 winger to fill things out a little better as well as long as we are doing this.
