I mean, no. The Isles beat writer (who, admittedly probably has way less insight because of how Lou operates) said it could be 13+Raty.

No, because Minnesota wouldn't take on any d or d prospect in fiala trade. They won't take on pavel zacha.

I’m guessing not the same thinking for forward prospects? I would think Holtz should be on the table if Fiala is going to sign long term

If fiala is going to NJ and there’s been expressed interest in a long term contract extension, I’d imagine minnesota will be looking for a lot more.

If it’s not the 2nd overall, it’s going to cost Gritsyuk and a protected 2023 1st

Depends on if that’s the only place he would sign long term or not. If it is, that should actually work in Jersey’s favor more since they could just easily leak that info so other suitors don’t offer anything close (in theory at least)

I would absolutely consider that, but with full lotto protection given how good that draft is. Maybe a condition to include a ‘23 2nd or 3rd if it doesn’t convey in 2023?

I could see them wanting AJ 50% retained. 1.7M for a middle 6 winger isn't bad.

I hope you don’t really believe that Lisa Dillman is the one setting the bar for a trade

Not even in the slightest. There’s been no indication of any sort.

No need for the false self deprecation you can just say you weren’t aware of the situation

Just figured a team trading an 80 point winger because of cap constraints could use a 40 point guy with strong underlying numbers making 1.7 with no long term commitments in a window in which they don't want to stop competing without needing to rely purely on prospects. that's all. Was unaware that wasn't a need though. Thanks for informing.

I wouldn’t say they’re going to be relying purely on prospects, Rossi is probably the only rookie on the team next year, possibly Addison. Outside of that we’re pretty set other than finding a replacement for Fiala, which will hopefully end up being whoever the return in his trade will be.

'm not a Wild fan. I look at your prospects, look at the cap friendly page, and see 10 forwards under contract. So its shocking to me that there's "no need" for a player like Johnsson at 1.7M for you guys. But I'm not a fan of your team and you guys know it best. If you say there's no need for him, there's no need. I'm not arguing over that, you know the team better than I.

What’re you realistically willing to give up for Fiala?

I'm a random internet poster, so my "willingness" is limited.

I posted today a top 10 protected 23 first, Stillman, and AJ 50% retained. Could be more, could be less. My willingness has very little to do with it.

I was just curious, none of our opinions mean anything on here but realism is respected. That’s why I asked.
