Sabres pass. Not a ton of interest in either player.

I don’t think the Sabres do it
Olofsson is a proven goal scorer for us
And Beauvillier just doesn’t fill that role as well

We’d have to really like Bode Wilde, and he went & played in Europe this season
What was that about btw?
Why didn’t he play in the AHL?

Coyotes would definitely need more in that package to make it work

Olofsson is pretty much a powerplay specialist. Beauvillier is the much better 5v5 goal scorer and overall player

Wahlstrom or bellows would need to be moved to make any of this work. Likely in place of Panik.

The ARI deal needs another asset since Holmstrom is not enough to get the deal done. Put Wahlstrom/Bellows in there (especially if you want ARI to eat some money for the Isles). Likely also drop the Isles 3rd round pick from that deal.

I don't think BUF accepts - why give up a player for a player only two years younger? Wilde has essentially no value as well.

You obviously didn’t watch much Oloffson this season.
Beauvillier had 34 points (12 goals), 11 (5 goals) of which came on the powerplay.
Oloffson had 49 points (20 goals), 12 (7 goals) of which came on the powerplay. And that was with a 30 game stretch where he was injured and couldn’t shoot the puck because of it.
So he had more even strength points and goals, as well as more power-play points and goals.
Oh, and this season, despite playing through injury, had 10 more points than Beauvillier’s career best.

This is probably the deal Bill Guerin is looking for if I had to guess

I swear Arizona fans want the most for a defenceman who’s only been really good one season honestly he’s really overrated a top 15 pick, a top 6 spec, top 6 forward and a 2nd should easily do it

I’m going based off of the last 3 seasons. 5v5 scoring rates:

19-20 season
Beauvillier: .69 goals per 60
Olofsson : .47 goals per 60

20-21 season
Beauvillier: .94 goals per 60
Olofsson: .32 goals per 60

21-22 season
Beauvillier: .4 goals per 60
Olofsson: .66 goals per 60

So 2 out of the last 3 seasons Beauvillier has scored at a better rate at even strength. Beauvillier is a better skater, he’s better at generating offense and defensively he’s far superior to Oloffson. Oloffson is a passenger at 5v5

I'd pull the trigger on 1st+Raty for Fiala trade. Raty feels like the type of guy who will be NHL ready in about 2 years. Hartman and Gaudreau contracts are up the next two years. Rossi and Raty replace them.

Oloffson WAS a passenger at 5v5 before this year. He played much better under Granato then he did for Krueger who is a horrible coach. In October, March, and April, he had 36 points in 38 games. In the middle of the season, he was playing injured (both officially, and easily detectable with the eye test, his release time was way slower, and he didn’t really use his slap shot) and went through a 30 game goal-less drought because of it. Despite that 30 game stretch, he still had nearly twice as many goals as Beauvillier.
