Could be an interesting trade;

Leafs get a Cup winning goalie and probably not have to pay to get rid of Mrazek because Murray's contract looks worse.

Sens get the cheaper backup goalie (Murray is owed $15 million real cash for 2 more years).

Leafs say no. The entire point is moving Mrazek is to get the bad cap off the books. Taking on an extra 2 mil in bad cap isn't a solution.

Dubas has asked about Murray availability in the past.

I made the cap work in this and I still have Kerfoot and Holl to move, if I wish.

If the Leafs ever want Robertson or Sandin to become Nhl stars, they need to give them better ice time, Nic will not become like his bro Jason, playing bottom 6 role, which Keefe keeps placing him.

You did. You also under offered on basically all the RFAs, lost all the UFAs and made the team much worse with Murray as the starting goalie...all to get a 20 man roster that just squeezes under the cap which is unworkable in a real world situation.

Leafs probably say no, but it's not as clear-cut as some people think. Leafs are taking on a big risk, but probably the higher upside. Both in having the goalie with better potential to play at a high level, but also the high likelihood that Murray just ends up on LTIR by the end of the season anyways. Both teams probably say no tbh
