Why is NSH trading down in the 1st, and taking on a multi-year cap dump? Poehling and a 3rd isn't compensation enough to drop that far down in the draft order, and MTL would need to pay someone to take Armia.

Fantilli next year looks better than slafkovsky, a nice top 6 in the near future, fantilli-suzuki-caufield and roy-wright-x (anderson or try and get kravtsov) most of slaf's point in the tourney were against weak team too.

-I don't think there's enough value here for Dallas to trade back, but I could be wrong. Depends on how much they want Jeff Petry with retention.

-17 OA is worth 4.5 GSVA; 26 (3.3) and 66 (1.0) add up to 4.3, so you need to add more to make up the difference. Poehling on his own might do, but then adding a cap dump in Joel Armia while taking back a cheaper player with 1 year left on their deal tanks that value. Easy pass from the Preds.

Arizona accepts, but I doubt the NHL would do.

No real interest in Armias contract and the prospect isn’t worth moving back in the draft. Nashville can easily buy out Myers if we decide that route

Armia vs Myers no ?

Myers is almost a million dollars cheaper, and only has one year left on his contract. If no one around the league wants him, buying him out gives NSH a $600K cap surplus next season (and a cap hit of about the same, the following year). With Armia, you're either stuck with his contract for three more years as a player, or six years if you buy him out.
