That CHI trade is confusing. Connolly and Simek would probably be a wash of cap dumps, CHI has no need to move Connolly, no need for Simek, and I doubt Dahlen gets you even one 2nd round pick let alone 2 of them.

Dahlen seems like a decent enough player, but he’s 24 and just finished his first NHL season. Can’t see a rebuilding Hawks being willing to give up a high 2nd for him.

Sharks decline all of these. All of them are either downgrades, poor value or a lack of need so I don’t see any incentive there.

Maybe you're right, but I don't see it. CHI definitely isn't a team that would pay a 2nd for him though.

I have to disagree but okay. Imo the team is better and more balanced and doesn't carry as much dead weight as it does now.
