Pasta deals id consider

Created by: Dekes

Description
All these deals are taking into consideration that pasta agrees to an extension pre trade, but even if he doesn't pasta has a NMC so if he waives to your team that basically shows he'd be willing to work on one. He has a 10 team no trade list

I see a lot of comparisons to eichel trade but they aren't really similiar at all.

1. Eichel wanted out and forced himself out, that is huge in general to the type of package a player will get
2. Post extension pastrnak will still be getting 2-1 mill less then eichel, so he will come at a cheaper cost that is less detrimental to a teams cap like tavares and karlsson's contracts
3. both have had somewhat of an injury history but pasta got a relatively casual surgery that lots of players had, eichel got a surgery that no professional athlete has ever done. their definitely more of a risk with eichel that pasta in terms of health

I’d do it, from an Islanders perspective. Would like some clarity on an extension if so, though

Not sure i would take that for the Sens, Also Pasta contract would be hard to carry once the Sens also have to pay Stuzle and Norris.
I could see pasta in LA though and that is a great deal to jump start a rebuild moving on from Bergeron

I'm not happy about that though lol

Love Pasta and would love to see him in Columbus but I can’t see Columbus making that trade. Two top 6 draft picks for a wing just isn’t logical for Columbus. If Pasta was a center we’d be having a different conversation, but it still leaves Jenner or Roslovic as the 1c and neither of them are a 1c. Jenner should be a 3c on a contending team and Roslovic would be a low end 2c on a contender.

Stuzle, Norris, Batherson, Brady, Sanderson, Chabot. Will all fill the arena.
The spending will also come once ownership is figured out, that was the issue really.

              Rangers say no

I should rephrase, value is probably fair but Rangers say no

As much as I want pasta jackets don’t need wingers. Especially not at the equivalent of two top 6 picks and probably another first round value in texier. Value might be fair but it doesn’t fit jarmos plan

I’d do it, from an Islanders perspective. Would like some clarity on an extension if so, though

their has been talks they have already started to work on one. Im assuming it will be around 8x8-9 mill

The Jackets would counter with Texier, Boqvist, and 6OA as a take it or leave it deal. Unless a high quality center is coming back CBJ’s way, there is no way Jarmo even considers moving Johnson. And the addition of Boqvist is a big add

fair enough, i was kinda iffy about adding it because NYR in that weird spot where they are very competitive but also have a long of young players so i was unsure if they would want to loose out on youth in hope that these acquistions would give them high odds for the next few years to win the cup

Id be willing to consider that if boston could get a young C in return for carlo. what about sillinger in place of johnson?

B's have been pretty good with contract management and given Mcavoy got 9.5 mill i can't see them paying anyone else more at this current moment

You're right the comparison to Eichel isn't fair at all.
Eichel had over 4 full year left on his contract, and no matter how you cut it, Pasta has one. You only have twos trade (Philly and Isles) where the Bruins are taking back much cap at all....It's ELCs and picks.
And why have seen what a poor trade it was for Eichel by Vegas Buffalo got a good player Tuch, ELCs, picks and cap space. Could Bruins find a similar sucker?
Most of these teams are non playoff teams even with Pasta. They can wait a year and spend their $$$$$ elsewhere (other UFAs) and keep all those cheap young assets

See that won’t work bc the Jackets need centers. Plus, Sillinger is untouchable. Hometown born kid and Jarmo is over the moon for this kid.

Like that you mentioned that. Throughout the years the Bruins have been very good with contract management and getting good players on team friendly teams. But they paid top $$$ for McAvoy IMO. If others see McAvoy getting I believe the 4th highest Dman $$$$, maybe the 8th best winger in the league Pasta (I'm kinda guessing), you would think he's wants t fair market $$$$.

My read... Value wise from Bruins perspective... a). New Jersey, b). Rangers, c). Ottawa d). Kings e). "the rest"!

Though I only see the New Jersey trade as really enticing (Holtz & Slafkovsky/Wright).

Sillinger probably has more value than Johnson already. Sillinger has proven NHL ability and was not put in a prominent role last year. Johnson has a high ceiling, but he still has to show that he can get there before his value really starts to go up.

Why do your trade proposals have no consistency? You ask for two young roster players from the Islanders and two first-round picks, and then ask for two young roster players from the Kings and only one first-round pick? The Islanders' pick is much higher too.

That Islander deal is light. Obviously all these come with a long-term deal being signed. NYI should do that yesterday.

I hate to say this to you, but look at what Mark Stone got. You'll get a little more since it's a full year vs. the deadline, but Stone with an extension only got a recent 1st round pick, a bottom-6 forward, and a 2nd round pick. You'll get more, but not much more than that.

not for the bruins. boqvist is unnecessary. bruins have top 4 d locked up: lindholm, mcavoy, zboril/grz, carlo. defensemen in a trade for pasta during a rebuild is unnecessary. we need centers. we need more high quality forwards. including any dmen at all just isnt necessary for a bruins perspective.
