Description
Bringing Taylor Hall back seems like it could be in the cards now.
He signed in Boston to play playoff games, but at this point NJ is in the better position to do so, especially if his old coach can entice him to waive his NTC

I’m selling lower on the Bruins trade, but other assets should be available for it

Ullmark would stablilize the net

Foote doesn’t seem to be getting much opportunity in Tampa, and tbe super buddies are the kinds of forwards they like to trade for and use in their bottom six (especially a guy like Bastian)

Sandin would be a huge improvement on the blue line, and Toronto has some huge decisions to make, if they wanna stay cap compliant

This should at the very least be a team fighting for a playoff spot all year long, and they will still have tradeable assets for the TDL to either buy or sell with.

TB only has 3 RD with any NHL experience next year why trade 1 for players they don't actually need? Not saying the value isn't there.

I think the 2nd Rounder (pick#37) should definitely be included, but maybe a prospect with top 6 potential like Gritsyuk and Stillman plus the pick?

This would likely save up the cash for one in UFA, unless y’all find a way to resign Palat.

Something, anything exciting. This is just, “oh, you’re asking the bruins to give up two important players on good contracts for nothing? No.”

Needs a first, just at a minimum.

Gritsyuk is absolutely exciting imo. He’s had comparable seasons in his age year in the KHL to Panarin and Kaprizov, and the draft boards this year look so wildly different there are likely to be quite a few guys graded in the 1st round still available at pick 37

Can throw a few minor pieces in there, but that would be about the same as what NJ got for a younger Taylor Hall

This would all really hinge on if Boston looks to rebuild though

It's a good point you made with what Devils got for Hall when shipped to Arizona.
Including Ullmark here makes it more complicated however, just becomes a mush of mixed future and roster pieces coming back to Bruins.

Feel like it'd be better to give #37, Stillman, Foote and Okhotiuk to Boston for Hall alone.
Then send Zacha to Washington for Vanecek.

Tampa’s strategy the last few years has been trading for guys like that when they are on good contracts, and letting them walk after a team friendly deal is up.

Show me a trade other than DeAngelo they traded a defenseman and didn't get one back . They don't trade young players at their weakest position

I mean, I get the rationale, but I don’t two competent bottom 6 forwards on ELC for a year will free up the money to upgrade the RD, especially on the bottom pair…
